Kitchen Remodeling in Northern Virginia

From layout and cabinetry to the plumbing, gas, and electrical behind the walls, Cocell Contracting builds complete kitchen remodels across Northern Virginia. We hold the prime contract under Virginia Class A licence #2705190343, and the trade work is performed by licensed Virginia specialty subcontractors working under us.

A kitchen remodel is a mechanical project, not just a cosmetic one

Most kitchen renovations touch every trade at once. Moving a sink or island means new plumbing runs. A larger range often needs a gas line and a dedicated circuit. Recessed lighting, under-cabinet lighting, and appliance circuits all run back to the electrical panel. Each of those is installed by a licensed Virginia specialty subcontractor under our prime contract. We hold the contract, the schedule, and the coordination, so one company is answerable for the finished kitchen instead of four separate hires you have to sequence yourself.

How the process works

We start with an on-site consultation to understand how you use the space and what you want to change. From there we develop a design and a detailed, line-item scope so you know exactly what is included. Once approved, we run the job from demolition through final inspection under our own supervision, with our licensed trade subcontractors on the mechanical work, written change orders before anything is added, and weekly progress updates with photos.

Kitchen remodeling FAQs

Do you handle permits for kitchen remodels?

Yes. We file and manage the building permit and run the inspection schedule with your Virginia county or city — Fairfax County, Arlington, Alexandria, Loudoun, and Prince William. Each trade permit is pulled by the specialty subcontractor under its own Virginia licence, which is how the trades are permitted here.

Can you move my sink, range, or island?

Yes. Relocating fixtures and appliances is done by licensed plumbing, gas, and electrical subcontractors working under our contract, scheduled inside the same job rather than left to you to hire and coordinate.

How long does a kitchen remodel take?

Most kitchen remodels run several weeks depending on scope, structural changes, and material lead times. We give you a schedule with your proposal.

Do you offer free estimates?

Yes — we provide a free on-site estimate with a line-item proposal. Book an appointment to get started.
