Adding a gas range, moving a cooktop, converting from electric, or running a line to an outdoor kitchen all require correctly sized lines, proper materials, pressure testing, and inspection. This is safety-critical work with strict code requirements, and Virginia reserves it for licensed gas fitters. Cocell holds the contract and the schedule as Virginia Class A Contractor #2705190343, and puts that licensed trade on the same plan as the rest of your remodel. Every line is permitted and tested.

How the process works

We start with an on-site consultation, then develop a design and a detailed, line-item scope so you know exactly what is included. Once approved, Cocell schedules and supervises the licensed gas fitter through pressure test and final inspection, with written change orders before any added work and weekly progress updates with photos. We work across Fairfax County, Arlington, Alexandria, Loudoun, and Prince William.

Can you convert my kitchen from electric to gas?

Yes. A licensed Virginia gas fitter sizes and runs the new line under our contract. We coordinate any electrical changes and manage the permitting and inspection.

Do you run gas lines for outdoor kitchens?

Yes, including grills and outdoor cooktops, properly sized, permitted, and pressure-tested.

Is gas work always permitted and tested?

Yes. Gas is safety-critical, so every line is pressure-tested and inspected. The gas permit is pulled in Virginia by the licensed gas fitter who installs the line, under its own trade licence.

Does Cocell hold a gas fitter licence?

No, and we do not claim one. Cocell is a Virginia Class A general contractor, licence #2705190343. Gas work is performed by licensed Virginia gas fitters under our prime contract. You sign one contract with Cocell, and Cocell is answerable for the finished work.
